5 things I confirmed in 2020

The 5 things I confirmed in 2020:

1. The most important things aren’t things.

At the beginning of this year, I wanted to enter 2020 looking my best, feeling my best and having the best with a servant leadership attitude. I was ready to change, serve, ready to remain open and kind, ready to be the best to help others be their best. For some people, it is just New Year’s resolutions. For others, a mindset kept on God, Faith, Health and Family kept them humble, compassionate, centered, and strong through a tough year of a pandemic, parenting, politics and homeschooling. How did you handle what’s most important in front of you? Did you spend less and honor your family by loving them, giving them your time? Did you hope for the best? Find a new workout?

I see you, I recognize you. You showed me what’s possible.

2. Confidence Is Crucial.

Confidence is the belief in one’s ability to figure things out. Set the reality and progress of your year by believing you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! Set your mind on the good things and see yourself having a more peaceful home life, better health, better relationships and a family that has a bond that can’t be broken.

3. Being in a Community is Needed.

Being in community with friends from our church REALLY MATTERED this year. Make friendship a priority through out your life. Outside of my Hubbs and the health of my family, one of the things I’m thankful for this year is my friendships that kept me feeling like I wasn’t going crazy and that all would be ok. Love you peeps.

4. Creating Good Habits Does Matter.

Praying, exercising, drinking water, flossing, taking vitamins, writing, reading, worshiping and scheduling in my planners made my days matter more.

5. Investing in Personal Development Is A Must.

I learned to be more alive, connected and fulfilled in my walk with God and my family. I worked super hard at reading and researching multiple books, articles and websites to gain more enrichment. I listened to tons of sermons, podcasts and livecasts. It was a tough year. Did you try to balance your life by taking in good material? Whether it was by reading or listening to some great podcasts?

These things I learned and re-visited this year, and it was most definitely needed and well worth it.

I hope these 5 help. I’ll share more on The Autism Stress Less Podcast Podcast this week – probably a Friday or Saturday episode. I’m not done yet this week, and I’ve got some big announcements coming soon.

I’m grateful for you. Sending you and your family warm blessings for a peaceful New Year.

With love, your biblical counselor,

Maritza
